(Shanghai) – In the proactive effort to service a long-term client’s capital expansion needs, Alfa Tech VestAsia (ATVA) founded its Shanghai office in Q2 2015. This unit was set up with the mission of bridging the technical, quality and customer service gap between industry best practices and the ground-realities faced by western multinationals when kick starting operations in China. One year later, ATVA is proud to have widened its client portfolio, developed a deep vendor network and recruited world class project management talent to enhance its service platform in this region.
“Extending our service to China with a full-time registered office is a natural progression of our commitment to our clients, ” states MD Zach Wilson. “Within just a few months, we have successfully competed against local players and won business on price in addition to long-standing relationships with the client. There is a lot of opacity in the market that we can cut through for our clients.”
ATVA’s greatest accomplishment in China is at-risk turnkey project delivery of 50, 000 SF production facility for Hill-Rom, a leading worldwide manufacturer and provider of medical technologies and related services for the health care industry. The facility is in Taicang and includes several production lines, R&D areas and verification labs, and has completed six months of successful operation. ATVA has been awarded the contract for Hill-Rom’s Shanghai expansion and construction for that has already commenced. Alongside this, ATVA also completed a 4000 SF office and laboratory facility for Viavi Solutions Inc. in Pudong. The project was executed on-time and on-budget within a six-week timeframe.
“The greatest gift we can offer our clients is the truth. There are many pit falls in China and to have a trusted partner on the ground who can translate is really valuable. We are hopeful for a growing book of business as more discover our competencies there, ” said Jensen Leong, Senior Partner at ATVA and General Manager of the company’s China presence.
