Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed cost analysis, feasibility studies, and prepare accurate bills of quantities (BOQ) for M&E projects.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop comprehensive tender documents, including specifications, contract terms, and conditions.
- Evaluate and assess subcontractor bids, negotiate contracts, and manage their performance throughout the project duration.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential cost overruns or delays, and implement effective strategies to mitigate risks.
- Carry out regular site visits to assess work progress, variations, and ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
- Prepare cost reports, including cost forecasts, valuations, and final accounts, and provide accurate financial information to the management team.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source and evaluate suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment at competitive prices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market rates, and regulatory changes related to M&E projects, and provide recommendations for cost optimization and efficiency improvement.
Requirements:
- Diploma/bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Good to have experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on M&E projects, preferably within the design and build industry.
- Candidates without experience who are passionate about M&E projects are welcomed to apply.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills
- Able to work independently in a team environment.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to identify and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Work Location & Workweek:
- Based at HQ office, with occasional visit to construction sites
- Mon to Fri, 9am to 6pm
